I'm pleased to announce our coauthor publication led by Prof. Richbourg has been accepted for publication in Science Advances! Once the copyedited paper is available online I'll update the website to include links to it :)

Two new first author publications!

The last two papers from my Ph.D. work have been published in Chemistry Letters, Networks from highly crosslinked polymer combs and Fast, oxygen-tolerant RAFT polymerization of hydrogels. Both articles can be found under the Publications tab!

I'm starting a postdoc!

I'm
excited to announce that I've accepted an offer as a postdoctoral researcher in
the Chitnis lab at University of Victoria! The Chitnis lab is a synthetic
chemistry group pioneering inorganic polymers, especially those comprised of
monomeric cages constructed from P—N bonds. My research will involve mechanical
characterization of inorganic polymers and exploring their structure-property
relationships. I'm excited to move back to Canada and explore the western side
of the country, and I'm particularly excited to get back into research,
especially with such fascinating materials. -
Doctoral Defense

I'm excited to announce that I've successfully defended my dissertation, Molecular Design of Polymer Brushes and Living Gels!
I can't overstate how thankful I am to have had Shelly as an advisor during my doctoral studies. Shelly has always been incredibly kind and supportive, and gave me a ton of space to be creative and to shape my dissertation topic. I couldn't have asked for a better advisor.
Unfortunately there are no photos of John and I together. John left to University of Oklahoma to be a fancy dean shortly after I started my doctoral studies. and advised remotely. I'm of course still immensely thankful for his guidance over the years and for supporting my creativity.
And of course, I couldn't have asked for a better partner supporting me through this than Meg. She was a lifesaver during the writing stage in particular. I'm excited to have her with me as we navigate next steps in our life together.
